Starting and Ending a Coaching Session

Entering The Coaching Environment

When you enter the coaching scene after completing your Public Speaking Practice or Roleplay, you will be greeted by our coach, Hugh, who will display your results overview (as shown in the image below).

Starting your Coaching Session

In the scene, you will see the 'Coaching Analysis Panel' in front of you, which is where you start and end the coaching session.

Once you are ready to begin your Coaching Session, select the 'Begin Coaching' button.

During your coaching session, you can talk with Hugh at your own pace. The button will indicate the avatar's status:

• "Talking..." when Hugh is speaking

• "Listening..." when Hugh is waiting for your verbal input

• "Thinking..." while Hugh is generating a response

Ending your Coaching Session

Once you feel that you are ready to end your conversation with Hugh, you can select the 'End Conversation' button, shown in the image below:

Coaching Tool Panel

The tool panel appears on your left side, next to the coach, and displays multiple tool options to support your coaching session.

• View Results - You can toggle on or off the results panel as and when you need it during your session.

• Show Descripotion - You can toggle on or off the introduction description and helpful tips for coaching

• Closed Captions - You can toggle on or off the closed captions or subtitles panel

• Accessing Help - If you need assistance while using the VirtualSpeech app, you can access this help guide at any time by selecting this symbol. The guide will appear on your screen.

• Restart Roleplay or Practice - Select this button to repeat the roleplay or speaking practice activity you just completed.
