Summary: This guide will help you with if you are having troubles with the VirtualSpeech app on your Virtual Reality Ready Device.
In all VirtualSpeech scenes, users can reset their current scene through either the in-app panels or the pause menu.
If you are continually having issues within the VirtualSpeech app on your XR device such as a black screen, stuck on loading or any other issue then it is recommended to try and restart the app via your headsets pause/settings menu.
VirtualSpeech requires a stable internet connection to deliver a seamless practice and roleplay experience. If you're experiencing any of the following issues, please check your internet connection:
Consistent lag during avatar conversations
Prolonged scene loading times
Delayed results and feedback
Difficulty saving or sharing sessions
Problems accessing uploaded files in the App
Virtual Reality ready devices often have guardians and spatial boundaries to both protect the user to have a safe boundary in their chosen environment but also for general tracking on the headset itself.
The VirtualSpeech app tracks your voice and conversations with our Avatars, so a working microphone is essential for the full experience. If you encounter any of these issues:
No Avatar responses during Roleplays
No audio when reviewing saved sessions
Warning message after Public Speaking Practice
Check the following:
Verify your microphone settings in your device settings
Ensure your microphone is not blocked, covered, or obstructed while using the app
If you are having trouble interacting with the app and can't seem to see your controllers, please check that your controllers are charged and connected to your headset.
If you have tried everything in the troubleshoot guide and feel you are still having issues with your headset, please consult your headset providers support page.
